Our first event took place on Thursday, May 5 (at L'iceBergues), and was an opportunity to share our work and motivations, and to bring together our partners and friends.
It was also a chance to end the first "skills project" on a high note, by bringing together the young people who had taken part, and listening to the success stories of our partners through a human bookshop.

Screening of the documentary "Mebrahtu", directed by Béatrice Guelpa in 2021, as part of the forum "Jeunes débouté-es de l'asile à Genève : quelle insertion?" programmed by the FIFDH in Geneva (International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights).
This documentary, which appeared on RTS's Mise au Point program in October 2021, portrays a young man accompanied by Yojoa whose asylum application was rejected despite a highly successful integration process.
The screening was followed by the debate "Young rejected asylum seekers in Geneva: what form of integration?" in which our director brought news of Mebrahtu.

Invitation to sign the open letter written by Coordination asile.ch and signed by over 800 individuals and organizations.
The letter denounces the situation in which young people who have been refused asylum continue to find themselves, and calls on the Council of State to find solutions.

Heidi news featured the portrait of Atiq, a young talent whom Yojoa helped to find a job.
Now an employee at Alles Gut! Gemüse Kebab, Atiq talks about his migratory journey from Afghanistan and his determination to find his place and contribute to our country's economy.
"Without work, you can't do anything", says Atiq.

Our director participated in the Swiss Triple Impact (STI) webinar "Diversity and Inclusion in Action - What have we learned" alongside companies from different backgrounds such as Firmenich, Loyco and the University Hospitals of Geneva.
